Highlights
During the spring of 2024 a significant project with the Lithuanian Theatre, Music, and Cinema Museum was completed in Vilnius, through our Lithuanian dealer UAB “Labostera”. After 16 years of extensive reconstruction, the museum has opened its new premises, featuring seven storage rooms equipped with over 1,400 linear meters of Bruynzeel mobile shelving, Compactus® Dynamic II systems, static shelving, and drawer cabinets.
The museum holds an impressive collection spanning nearly a century. The new facilities are designed to store 70 percent of the museum’s collection, including rare and historically significant items such as the first cameras, early movie projectors, and an extensive array of musical instruments.
The open storage concept allows visitors to engage with the museum’s collection in a unique and interactive way. Guided tours are available, offering an educational journey through the history of cameras, musical instruments, and other theatrical and cinematic artifacts.
With Bruynzeel’s storage solutions, the museum is now better equipped to preserve its vast collection and offer a richer experience to its visitors. The innovative design and functionality of the storage spaces have been met with high praise, underscoring the museum’s commitment to safeguarding Lithuania’s cultural heritage while making it accessible to the public.
