Angered Community Hospital, Sweden
The hospital was Inaugurated during the autumn of 2015 and is located in central Angered in northeastern Gothenburg, Sweden. The new hospital concept was based on new technology in everything, from the construction to the equipment and will provide 100.000 residents with planned healthcare.
Bruynzeel involved in the planning phase
Bruynzeel was already involved from the startup of the project and has delivered high-density mobile shelving systems to all departments. The basket system is made of plastic where a strip section is mounted on the system's inner walls instead of on the shelves. Baskets of different heights and sizes fills up the mobile shelving system after their need. It is a flexible system that can easily be changed depending on whether the medical packages change in size or if new items are added.
Central warehouse in the basement
When we visit the community hospital, the surgery rooms are not yet fully operational. Within a few weeks, the departments' full potential will be utilized, as will our high-density mobile shelving solutions. In the basement, the hospital has a large central warehouse that supplies the department storage rooms with their daily needs of what is lacking.
Hygiene requirements
Closed drawers have been installed all the way in the lower part of the mobile shelving systems to meet the hygiene requirements and facilitate cleaning. This keeps dirt and dust effectively away. The sterile storage rooms for surgeries are also equipped with the high-density mobile shelving systems.
Fire-separating cabinets
Hospitals generally have a great need for fire-separating cabinets for the flammable liquids that are stored. Bruynzeel has delivered a wide range of cabinets to the various departments.
Exciting solution with electric jalousie
In the children's department, we have installed an exciting solution that the staff is very happy with. The mobile shelving system is located in close proximity to the waiting room, and in order to avoid children playing in the storage area, some form of shielding was used. We developed a special solution in the form of an electric fabric shutter that is controlled via a remote control and pulled is down when the storage is not in use. At first glance, it is difficult to see that it is not a wall but a storage space that is hidden.
