To customize your Compactus® mobile shelving system you can choose to have a mechanical drive system. The mobile shelving system will be equipped with hand cranks. You can use the hand crank to either move one base and open an aisle, or to move multiple bases at once.

Users can finely tune the speed and control of the system, ensuring smooth and precise movement of the shelving units. With the hand crank, users can achieve optimal performance and effortless adjustment of the shelving units to suit their needs.

However, it's essential to consider that the number of aisles movable at once depends on the weight of the items stored. To mitigate safety risks for staff, our mechanical mobile shelving system features aisle locking capabilities. Bruynzeel provides various locking options to suit your needs. Aisles can be secured using either the push and pull lock integrated into the hand crank or opting for an integrated key lock. The key lock not only ensures aisle security but also offers overall access control for added safety and peace of mind.

In the event of an unforeseen emergency, our mechanical mobile shelving system is equipped with a safety feature for immediate response. Along the full length of the mobile bases, a plinth is installed at the bottom. Simply pressing this plinth at any location will promptly activate the emergency braking system, ensuring swift and effective action to safeguard both staff and stored items.
